  • NEWS: Announced via press release, 3DS title Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy is now available for download on Apple’s iOS devices. The game is free to download, and comes packed with two songs and thirteen characters. Additional songs can be purchased for $0.99, song bundles for $2.99, and extra characters for $1.99.
  • NEWS: After much waiting, the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo, originally bundled with the Zone of the Enders HD Collection, is now available for public consumption. If you live in Japan. The demo, live on the Japanese PlayStation Network store, is bizarrely region locked. Save your bandwidth Aussies. Though you will be able to download and install the demo, the game will not boot. We’ll have to wait for a local demo, it seems.
  • VIDEO: Many new Gears of War: Judgement videos are available for your viewing pleasure, including samples from the campaign and multiplayer. All Games Beta has them all, and we’ve got one campaign snippet below.

  • NEWS: We all know that marketing sometimes has a big, and often unpleasant, influence on gaming. Not so for Naughty Dog. Speaking with VG247, Naughty Dog has revealed that marketing suggested one of the key characters in The Last of Us, the young girl Ellie, be moved from the box art’s front cover and placed on the back. Naughty Dog refused to comply, and she stands proudly on the front.
  • NEWS: Funcom’s MMORPG The Secret World has changed its pricing structure. According to the press release, the game will no longer use a subscription method, adopting a Guild Wars-like “buy and play” business model. Why not give it a try?
  • VIDEO: God of War: Ascension has a new multiplayer trailer titled “Evil Ways”. Sounds suss.

  • NEWS: While we wait for more info on Microsoft and Sony’s next generation systems, Crytek has let slip how they feel about the upcoming hardware. In an interview with Video Gamer, CEO of Crytek Cevat Yerli has claimed next generation systems will not overly surpass performance and power available in current high end PC hardware, compared to the current generation wherein new systems arguably exceeded PCs at the time. He claims this difference is due to the high cost of memory and processors in the modern market.
  • NEWS: The fine folk over at Good Old Games are having a sale. A fire sale. Or something. Lots of great discounts, including Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition for…free. You should download it.
  • VIDEO: First episode of the professionally directed Crysis 3 series The Seven Wonders of Crysis 3 is live, showing off the fancy graphics and gameplay of the “Fields” mission.

  • NEWS: The long rumoured Hitman Trilogy HD Collection has finally be confirmed. Thanks Amazon. The pack will include Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts, and Hitman: Blood Money rendered in high definition, meanwhile the special edition will throw in an art booklet showcasing twenty two works from artists reimagining classic Hitman moments in creative styles.
  • NEWS: If comical, satirical, and exceptionally busty Japanese games are to your liking then you best keep your eyes peeled on Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory. The third entry in the popular PlayStation 3 series is making its way to both the United States and Europe in March 2013. An Australian date is yet to be confirmed, but that doesn’t matter much when you can comfortably import.
