Daily Gaming News – 10/11/12

November 10, 2012

November flies by like so much poop launched by an irate monkey. No, I’m not sure what I’m going on about either. What’s important here is that the gaming news continues to pour in, and we’ve gone and filtered it into a smooth, easy to digest liquor-like substance for your enjoyment. Ok, ok, maybe it’s just a whole bunch of words, with a video or two apparently placed at random. The important thing is that it’s time for today’s daily gaming news.

——————————————————————————————————————————

  • NEWS: Unknown Worlds Entertainment’s FPS/RTS game, Natural Selection 2 has managed to generate $1 million worth of sales in its first week of release. Pretty good for a game that most people haven’t even heard of.

  • NEWS: New York may have been hit hard by Hurricane Sandy, but at least Nintendo have given them a midnight Wii U launch to look forward to. A bit of New Super Mario Bros. U should cheer some people up.
  • NEWS: Is there such a thing as overdoing it, when it comes to marketing? Atlus don’t think so. They’re really excited that Persona 4 Golden is releasing in the US soon. So excited that they’ve dumped 28 gameplay videos on us all at once. Yes, 28.

  • NEWS: Casey Hudson tells us that a new Mass Effect game is currently being designed, and asks us what we’d like to see in it. What would you be interested in? Space combat? Even more customisation options? BioWare have said in the past that Shepard won’t be a part of the series in future, and that we should hang onto our save files. Mysterious.
  • NEWS: Speaking of Mass Effect, the third game is still on its way to the Wii U. BioWare have released a new trailer for it, which shows off the game, as well as the new GamePad features.
  • VIDEO: Sanzaru Games’ upcoming Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will feature some interesting PlayStation Vita connectivity, which they’ve shown off in this new trailer:
