  • NEWS: Eternal Darkness successor Shadow of the Eternals has hit another bump in the road, with Kickstarter funding reportedly being halted due to lukewarm reception. In an open letter to Kickstarter backers, Precursor has announced that they do intend to relaunch funding at an unspecified time.
  • NEWS: Microsoft seems to be considering major company changes, as reported by AllThingsD. The company, headed by Steve Ballmer, looks set to move towards becoming a “devices and services” company.
  • NEWS: Following up from yesterday’s news about Zynga laying off over 500 employees, Draw Something developer OMGPOP has also been affected, with the team closing its doors. The move comes only a year after Zynga acquired the company for USD$200m.
  • VIDEO: The next Halo game will be a twin-stick shooter for Windows 8 and will be developed by 343 Industries, who were also behind Halo 4. You can watch the announcement trailer for the game, Halo: Spartan Assault, below.

  • NEWS: Good news for fans of nostalgia – DuckTales Remastered will be released on PC in addition to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. The game will be available via Steam, Green Man Gaming, Impulse, GamersGate, and Origin for a cool USD$14.99.
  • NEWS: In a reversed situation, Zeno Clash II will be available on Xbox Live Arcade next week, after sitting on Steam for six weeks.
  • NEWS: Book publisher Udon has announced that they will be releasing a book showcasing the art of Dark Souls. Dark Souls: Design Works will be released in November this year and can be preordered via Amazon.com.
  • NEWS: There are some issues with the latest patch for the PlayStation 3/Vita game Guacamelee!. The patch, which was to add DLC costume support, permanently turns the player into a chicken if they load up a save file after earning Pollo Power. To work around this, developer DrinkBox Studios recommends deleting and redownloading the game if you are playing on PS3, or performing a cloud save and then deleting and redownloading for Vita players.
  • VIDEO: Square Enix has released a story trailer for their new game, Murdered: Soul Suspect. The game sees a ghostly detective named Ronan O’Connor seeking revenge on the one who killed him, aided by a whole host of ghostly abilities.
