Bioshock Infinite developer Irrational Games has finally decided on a release date for their long-awaited title. The game will be released on October the 16th, 2012 in North America and October the 19th internationally.

Ken Levine, creative director of Infinite, had this to say about the title;

“After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition,” said Ken Levine. “BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on it.”

It may seem like a long wait, but in the meantime, maybe you can go immerse yourself in the previous two games in the series. You want all that lore fresh in your head, don’t you?
