Binary Domain Coming To PC

March 21, 2012

Sega have announced today that their robot-destroying third-person shooter, Binary Domain is coming to PC next month. No specific date was given. The game was originally released for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in late February. Apparently, many players have been asking for a PC version, and Sega are only too happy to oblige.

“As well as the excitement generated by Binary Domain in the console press we were seeing increasing numbers of players asking for a PC version. So we listened and we delivered.” said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Sega.

The game will be released as both a boxed game and digital download, though where exactly it will be available has not been stated at this point. Set in Tokyo in the year 2080, the game focuses on a world where global warming has wreaked havoc, killing millions. Most humans live in elevated cities above the rising waterline, and heavy use of robot labor was instrumental is constructing them. When robots (called Hollow Children) who have human skin and aren’t aware of what they truly are start attacking, it’s up to Dan Marshall and his squad of soldiers to save the world from chaos.
