Rovio Entertainment are set to make a second Angry Birds film, Variety reports.

Rivo CEO, Kati Levoranta, revealed the plans in the company’s latest earnings report while also revealed the first Angry Birds film had grossed US$347 million worldwide (approx. AU$265 million). There are also several new games in the pipeline for the company including a new IP, though no further details were provided.

“With the excellent performance of our games portfolio and the fantastic movie, the Angry Birds brand is flying high,” Levoranta stated.

It’s uncertain when the Angry Birds sequel will enter production, or if any of the original voice actors will be return to reprise their roles.
