12 New Screenshots For New Super Mario Bros. U

September 10, 2012

Nintendo have released a new batch of screenshots for New Super Mario Bros. U today, showing off a range of different environments that Mario and company will be exploring. The level of detail is noticeably higher than that of the previous console title, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and many of the game’s elements are on display. The Wii U game is clearly making use of elements that were featured in the classic Super Mario World, such as baby Yoshis for Mario to carry around and feed, and Monty Moles which pop out of the ground and leave a Mole shaped hole behind. The game will feature multiplayer for up to five players at once. New Super Mario Bros. U will be released alongside the Wii U console itself, though neither one has a release date at this point.
